Why Are You Here, Again?

I have been contemplating why anyone reads my blog. It is not particularly witty or for that matter interesting. But yet I still have readers and more readers than when I started blogging. That brought the question why do I read the blogs I read? Well, because I am genuinely interested in the writer. Interested in what the writer has to say and their opinions. I also like hearing about their life. These thoughts brought on more questions about blogging. Do people read my blog because I read theirs? Do they comment on mine because I comment on theirs? I read and comment on other blogs because I am interested in what they have say and in them in general. I guess that means if I read your blog I like you. I want to thank all my readers for reading and commenting.

I often wonder the same thing - why would anyone want to read my blog? I, too, am thankful for my blogger friends.

I am very new to blogging, so don't know much about them. I read yours because I do like you, you are like a ray of sunshine. I comment on peoples blogs because I like to interact with them. I like communication in all forms.

i don't like you but i read you anyway. Knowing that is complete tongue in cheek... i personally enjoy seeing how you as a young adult with the wisdom that you have been given are putting that into practice. I know that when writing i have time to express myself more clearly. i think it opens the door to me a little wider than just casual conversation, and i think that's true of most of us. Writing can be quite introspective and when it comes in this media, others get to enjoy that introspection too. That's why i read who i read and 86 the others. I'm a socialite, and like to know people beyond the weather. That's why i read your blog.

Well... what Jay said, for starters. I read all sorts of different folks, from the deep-thinking types (coz they're SO different from YoursTruly) to the superficial (occasionally, and present company is NOT in that category). I enjoy reading about other folks' experiences and the way they present them. And there's the learning aspect, too.

You're a good read, Ash. I enjoy your narrative and your photos.

How well I know the feeling! I often wonder why anyone would read my blog. My life is so dull. Work, karate, knitting, work again...But I continue reading the blogs I read because I feel a connection with the author. Even though I've never met you or Lou, or Buck, or any of my other regular reads, I consider you to be my friends. And I always care about what my friends have to say.

Well, I'm late again :) don't know how I missed this one. You guys pretty much covered all my reasoning for reading the blogs I do. When I blog,I always try to keep my focus on who I'm blogging for and it's simple, just for those I care for(including myself:) cause other wise I don't keep in touch. I've learned so much from you guys and I've learn a bit more about myself. It's been a good thing for me.
And as for boring? Boring meaning tiresome, that's just a state of mind one doesn't give place to when they care about the writer!
Your post are great Ash, keep it up!

What Becky said. I haven't been blogging much lately at all, and certainly nothing of subtance that has come out of my own heart or brain, just too busy for that these days. But I do like to keep up on reading my friends blogs, and one of the best ways to find more like minded blog friends is by visiting the commenters of those blogs. I found Buck by a comment he left on someone elses blog, and then I found Lou through him, and now I've found you through Lou. :)
