Wild Deer

Neighboring our land is a high fence area. High fence areas are to hold big game animals. Hunters pay to "hunt" these animals. I say "hunt" because it is really like hunting cows. The big game in high fence areas are trophy animals. Dead animals hanging on the wall. Nice. But hey, what ever floats your boat. On with my story, someone left the gate open to the high fence area yesterday. I had seven exotic deer in my yard! I did not have time to take pictures. The picture is the breed of deer, but the deer in my yard were younger and smaller. After seeing them, there was a rush to find the number of the man who owns them. They ran all though our land but decided the yard was a nice place to rest. Thankfully they stayed close to our land and did not wander off. If that happened there was not way to recover them. The man who owns them was out of town, so his friend Bill rounded up the deer. He tried to lure them with corn. I must say they are pretty tame but are still slightly wild. The deer did not want to be captured. Bill had to dart them. Several other kinds of animals escaped too. But they were all recovered. Thankfully!
