She's a Firecracker She's the Light of My LIfe..

Here is my little firecracker. The picture on top is the dirty Sydney. The picture on the bottom is Syd sitting on her toy tire. She is one of the smartest dogs I have ever had. She was potty trained at 6 weeks old. She learned to sit after I pushed her rear down twice! She is a sweetheart. Her personality is very unique. If you have never owned a Bull Terrier you have missed something. They are clowns of the dog world. Full of spunk and vivacity. They bounce through life. They love people and are good family dogs. Sydney is the most obedient puppy I have ever had. Isn't she a cutie?

Oh! What a Beautiful Morning!

Today was a cold and wet day here in OK. I like days like this they are lazy and relaxing. But my day was not lazy and relaxing. I had scuba classes today from noon to 6pm. I love scuba diving. I love the water. If I were to be a mythical creature I would be a mermaid. Today we were practicing rescuing divers. The instructors pair you up and you rescue each other. I, of course, was paired up with a man who weights at least 300 lbs. The instructors should have paired him with someone who was.... well, closer to his size. That sounds mean. But it is true. First he "rescued" me. I say rescued lightly. Drowned is more appropriate. If I were really in need of rescuing I would have drowned. He could not find the hose to inflate his BC. For my non-diver readers a BC is a buoyancy compensator. It is like a life jacket that you can inflate and deflate. He inflated my BC and used me as a flotation device. Thus drowning me. Luckily I still has my regulator in my mouth. After my "rescue" It was my turn to rescue him. Keep in mind that he is quite a bit larger that I am. I rescued him but it was quite difficult. His BC is too small for him and it did not adequately keep him afloat. I was keeping him afloat with my BC, kicking, and sheer will. I had to pull him through the water the length of the pool. (More sheer will) I feel I can adequately rescue someone now. ;)

Lack of........

Dear blog readers: I have recently been appalled at my lack of composition skills. In speech my grammar is, for the most part, correct. My sentences are usually constructed well. But for reasons I do not know, I can not put words on paper (in this case blog said words). When I see the blank posting page all my thoughts vanish. It is, I hope, a curable disease. I will try to use all the composition skills I learned in school. I am raising the bar for myself. Hopefully I will be able to meet it. I have been told I am an overachiever. Most people say it negative sense. I do not find it negative. Applying yourself is bad? I think not.

Wild and Loose

Todays insignificant inquire is about painting styles and personalties. My painting style is wild, loose, and thick. There is a method to my madness. But you have to look for it. Lou once said that judging from my painting style, one would think that I had no organization in my life. But I am organized. I will tell you something embarrassing about me. Every article of clothing in my closet is separated into categorizes. For example my shirts are separated into long sleeves, short sleeves, and button -up. Within each section the shirts are organized by color according to the spectrum. OCD, I know. I am not like that in every part of my life. Just somethings. Back to painting styles. My painting style is wild and thick. That poses the question, am I wild? Well, um....... I don't know. I use a lot of paint. I love texture in paintings. I also love color. I do not plan every painting. I get a general idea and go for it. I am sometimes a planner in life and sometimes I just go for it. But my friend A on the other hand is a very strategic planner when she paints. She draws every thing out. It helps her see where she is going with the painting. She is like that in life too. She works well in last minute situations. My friend K is a precise painter. In life she is that way also. Both A and K are great painters and great women. In this case their painting style reflects their personality. In my case I am not so sure. S and I have similar painting style but different personalities. Our personalties can sometimes be similar. But mostly we are different. S is a wild and free painter. She is a great artist and woman too. I believe that in some aspects of your life you painting style reflects your personality. What do you think? Do painting styles reflect personalities?

Christie Brinkley?!?

What do you think? Whom do you think I look like the most? I do not think I look like any of the above women. I can say I was not insulted by my results.

I am an Apple?

You Are an Apple

You are strong, powerful, and even a bit stubborn at times.
You have enough strength to help those around you in trouble.

You are adventurous and charming. Many people are drawn to you.
You love life, and you enjoy traveling the world. You enjoy fine food, art, and culture.

People have accused you of being a snob, but that's not accurate.
You do enjoy the best things in life. Unlike snobs, you truly appreciate quality... not just pretend to.

An apple? I was hoping for something exotic. I would say that the quiz is pretty accurate. Surprisingly accurate.

Tulips

Here is another one of my paintings. I posted a flower painting in honor of Valentines Day. Tulips are my favorite flower.
I will post more later. I am going swimming and then to art.
